Hello, all! I got a wild hair to get a distinctive domain name, and nealwitwer.com was born on 7-25-04.  It's coming together slowly; I started out to make this largely a repository for pictures.  Roy Crawford had a 1900 Storm band reunion this past April, and that was another incentive for me to scan & digitize more of my old band photos; some of them are a scream, as you'll see below.  If any of you want me to make you famous by posting your photos on this site, just email them to me.  A few of my  email friends have recieved some attachments from me that warn them that the attachments may contain viruses, but that is a security feature of Mirosoft Outlook that adds that warning message to the attachments that I can't turn off.  Please be assured that I won't send anybody an attachment that I haven't opened myself and found to be virus-free; I have two firewalls and two anti-virus programs that work well.

8-6-04:  This website seems to be taking on a life of it's own.  It's been less than two weeks, and now it's grown to include my autobiography.  While the photo albums here are OK for quick viewing, it'll be more fun to click on the link to the photos as you read.  I plan later to have a section with links to cool, free, and very useful software that I've tried out and found to be adware and virus-free, for you geeks out there.   Hey, if you didn't have just a little geek in you, you wouldn't have a computer or email.   I subscribe to PC Magazine and its newsletters that send me a lot of links that I've tried out and found to be really quite useful.  I'll be your personal "Beta Tester".

I'll include links to my favorite websites,  and list some of my favorite jokes that have been emailed to me throughout the years.  Quirky sites like Fark are a good example.  Ernie's House of Whoopass is not for children or the faint of heart!

Just for the Halibut, I bought the domain name the1900storm.com for future use.  For those who don't know, that was the most well-known name of my first successful rock band formed in 1959 and, as time progressed, probably had upwards of 50-60 members come & go! I probably won't activate that website for awhile, but at least I have it for future use.

One of my motivations for creating this website is the shorter email address of neal@nealwitwer.com.  I finally got it working 8-11-04, but you cann keep using nwitwer@houston.rr.com if you like.  this address will  also remain active as long as I keep Roadrunner, and they've been a real class act since I signed up on 3-11-03.  (yes, I actually looked it up)!  So there's no need to change my address in your address books.  I'll be giving the address to new people because it's easy to remember:  but it won't work if you spell my name(s) wrong!

Thanks for visiting.  Please sign the guestbook.   I now have the daunting task of building a website!  I'm sure my suntan will suffer; Enjoy!
